Before The Shadows Came

They came from far away that night to join the final fight
Men and women, young and old, under the banner of light
They came to make their final stand, together united as one
With fear arid anger in their hearts, prepared to give their lives
And on the wind a song was heard, a thousand voices strong
It told of peace and better days, before the shadows came

A tale was sung, by the one who knew the words about a hero long ago
The legend said, that the one would rise again, when evil threatened peaceful lands
They all found faith, intthe old mans song, it qave them strength to carr.y-on

But in the distance, they heard an evil chant, getting closer weakening their hearts
We walk in darkness, we'll kill you all, lay down your weapons, you stand to fall

But the old man said, you shall not fear, for the blessed one is here
And with a smile the wizard heaven his staff, and in the sky a light appeared
It hit the ground, where a young man raised his head, and he felt the strength from heroes long ago

And the young man stood up before them, raising his sword to the sky
Come my friends, we shall ride in to battle with our heads held high
We' II be strong, and carry on, trough the night, we will fight

Then the high was filled, with the cry of a thousand souls
Screaming out for victory
And the evil chant, vanished from the air, replaced by doubt and turned to fear
As the cry grew stronger, the rising sun appeared, and drove the evil from their lands

2. I Dream (Therefore I Am?)

I stand in front of me dazzled and confused
I searched to long to far to deep
What I found was not exactly what I had in mind
A journey trough my deepest fears

I travelled trough the darkest corners of my brain
Not knowing what I would become
In search of truth I lost the essence of my self
Unlocking madness from within

I dream, therefore I am? If I wake, I will be no more

Can anybody see me?
Can I reach me where I' ve gone?
When I look into the mirror i' m a stranger to my self

In search of paradise for all, I lost my way

When the nights' darkness swallows, the light of day

The bnghtness of this world seems to loose it's value

At last your questions shall be answered I have come to show the way

Will it be Heaven or will it be Hell? The truth must come for a day
Have you been naughty or have you been nice?
Will you be worthy now lets roll the dice
And see how the path looks that you'll have to take
Have you been honest' or are you a fake

And lies, you know you have lied to obtain a certain goal
Sometimes its right and sometimes its wrong, how did you make the call?
You say that you've always have tried to be honest, your so commendable,
But truth isn't always the answer my friend, it can hurt and make you fall

Now love, how did you treat those who gave you from their hearts?
They showed you affection and opened their souls what did you give in return?
You say I can't blame you not feeling the same, but still you brought them home
It's easy to give in to lust and desire but you should have learned to say no

Time, as the days go by you learn when to go on when to turn,
in life we all get burned trough mistakes we learn
Life, isn't easy you should know, there are days when you feel
low but sometimes we must let go and embrace tomorrow
Pain, inescapable for all, we all sometimes have to fall to be able to stand tall
In the final hour
Fight, for what you believe to day, even though the days are grey it will help you find the way...

8. A Tale Of The Ocean

Walking by the ocean lost in his own thoughts
Memories of failures, of dreams that was lost
Time has past and left him walking all alone
With nothing more than sadness in his heart

The anger weakens as he keep on moving
On towards an end he can't foresee
The city lights are fading far behind him
Not needed anymore he had to leave

Blinded by his feelings for her, never saw it coming
Till the day he stood there like a fool
Trying hard to understand the meaning of her words
While she kept on tearing pieces from his heart

Her voice, her words they made no sense
Why would she tear apart their life?
His fury grew, when he heard the sound of laughter .
His heart went cold as he reached for his knife

With a raging soul, he lost all control
The humiliation was taking its toll
Loosing his reason to live, he didn't care
Deep from within him, he screamed out his pain
In a final attempt to take her back again
But all of his words seemed so foolish when he saw how she smiled

Rain started pouring as he went insane -
But the thunder and lightning was all in his brain
He couldn't tell what was real; lost in his rage
He just kept on slashing again and again
In desperation just to ease the pain
Till suddenly he realised her words were gone

Then with his clearing mind he could see what he had done
