1. By The Silvery Pathway
By the Silvery Pathway, the Moon arose
To the Firmament, black as a scorched faith,
And by Its Majestic and Serene Glare
It tenderly touched the Mighty Forest.
The Wood slept in His Crowns and Roots Shade
And saw the moss and weeds in His dreams.
Like a Warriors, Trees stood immovable,
Not hiding their Honor and Grandeur.
And Stars shineth like eyes of the wolf,
Their glare not at once drowns in a river,
Upon river's hands, cold and long,
That shine was brought far among mounts.
And utter grim fog weaved all around,
He claimed unto clouds with a rustle of leaves,
He told everything about stubs and fir-trees,
About all that was true and unreal – He said.
Yet the Forest not slept, He arose His temples,
And shadows of trees seemed as alive.
A Land gave Her heat, a captive flame
That She kept for descendants unto this day.
And smog arose high from mountains peaks,
Their steam returned back by the rains,
An air, thick as the mists above lake,
Was wandering through the Nocturnal Wood...
And the Raven, huge even like not a bird,
Hovered above Forest, by the mountains peaks.
By the gaze full of wisdom, attentive and sharp gaze
He watched His Skog by the Order of Gods.
And there, in the very heart of the Wood,
Far from the glades and narrow tracks,
In the nest that He built with patience and hope
He beheld His sons – that were dead yet...
2. And Gorgany Openeth Eyes...
And the Heart hammered in chest with a Fury,
And Blood got boiling hard in His veins.
By stone He was falling into Abyss of Branches
And that Gape embraced IT'S Heir.
He saw lots of black spots there in valley –
It was horde of those who murdered His Sons.
They moved on prowling, like assassins do,
Searching prey for their malignant pleasure
And leaves was burning under step of their march
And in torment the Ancestral Land moaned hard.
Even Forest averse His sight in fear,
Not able for defense with armor of branches.
AND IT COMETH – THEIR GHASTLY GATHERING
And Raven beheld that He shows no strength alone
And cannot avenge for His dead sons.
He soared high upon black wings, and Grimness
Embraced the peaks of Ancient Woods.
He saw the Wood surrounded with Abyss,
He saw blackening weeds and rotting crust,
A char bleared air and burning fir-trees.
In violent flight He stormed towards the clouds.
And there, under Majestic Fiery Sun,
In Celestial Asgard, clear and serene like Wrath,
He called upon Allfadr, and with His whole Strength
He swore the Grim and Inviolable OATH...
AND GORGANY OPENETH EYES...
3. ...Of Rotten Water
Give me to drink sip of rotten water,
To quench my steed thirst, to grate the host,
By the Thorns – A Flashes of Faith –
Give me the Strength from Thy Roots Might
By the toxic weeds, venom of swamps,
By decrepit crust be my beloved
By the pine pitch, oaken strength,
By the rattle of cliffs...
By the black rivers, dark waters
It float, it flow – a drowned dead moon.
By the silent steps, long painful years
My beloved Death coming closer to me.
Fly away with dust, greet me with Grimness
Roaming crutchstick, grant them path astray, by the will-o'-the-wisp
Lead them to rot in dark thickets of wood...
By the dead woods, by the grey moss
Soil brings me far, though where I'll be buried?
By the flames, Pleiades stars, bleak clouds,
By the mountains, sanctuaries hide me from all.
Bring me, bring forth, my furious blood,
Reap my loyalty from dew till dew.
Ye Wind, scatter ashes of me by the forests and steppes,
Dwell with my heart, sleep through eternity...
4. Like A Last Moan
By the rustle of weeds and scratch of the trees
This Sound got peal like a call for War;
Like a Last Moan filled with Rage,
Like a Thunder and Heatlightnings Razor
Meanwhile, the clouds gone by the Wind's scourge
Ran away from celestial meadows
To give the clear path for Father's One Eye Sight,
And the Forest calmed in Reverence.
But enemies vile army with devastating step
Still marched onwards through the mountains dales
And unstoppable was their greed to bring death,
Bring forth havoc, disaster and grief.
And lonely Heroes that stood fearless
To fight against that force pathways –
All were burnt in rapacious wild flames
And rain washed their ashes away.
And Grimnir stared down onto mountains and cliffs,
Onto plateau valleys scorched to dust
And then proclaimed His Prophecy to the Raven,
Revealing His Mystic Unseen Visage:
"THIS ANCIENT LAND, FORESTS AND WOODS,
STEPPES AND RIVER RAPIDS
SHALL BE ABANDONED BY DISASTERS AND TORTURES
JUST WHEN HONOR BECOMES A BROTHER OF BLOOD!"
A Voice faded down, and just rumble of stones
That fell down from the steep crags –
It echoed long with waterfalls laments,
But some later became quiet too...
5. Withered Leaves...
Torn by the Wind,
Like by Glacial Spear,
Raining, It was bleeding down –
Heavy Lead-ripe Firmament...
Through the Moaning Wind
Had whispered...
Covering the Soil...
...withered...
...leaves...
As a black hovering clouds –
Ghost Fogs whirled...
Transparent Eyes of the Lakes
Peer into the Skies –
Like if they gape bottomless...
In rawness of mists hum
Had rustled...
Dying...
...withered...
...leaves...
In the wood meadows
Flowers faded,
