1. The Voices Of The Dead
Iron legions march
Hunting down the enemy
See them curs on the run
Spare no one but one
One to tell the tale
Of our fearsome array
One to spread the word
That blood and honor are reborn!
Blood and honor call
In the voice of the dead
Roll back the stone
And claim thy father's sword!
I will stand by your side
Though long-lost be the fight
We will hold the line
Like three hundred Spartans brave
Those who bleed with me
Shall my true brothers be
And should we fall this day
In Valhalla we'll meet again!
Blood and honor call
In the voice of the dead
Roll back the stone
And claim thy father's sword!
2. Rulers Of The Sea
Far from these relentless shores
Beyond these mountains tall
Shine the stars diamond bright
And light our path cross the churning sea...
A haunted wind fills our sails
Driving us through the foam
Pull hard on the oars ten score leagues
To cross before we greet the dawn!
For Odin and for Thor
For Balder and for Tyr
We're sailing the sea!
By conquest and steel
By the right of our might
We're the rulers of the sea
We see the sun that rises
Bloody behind the horizon
It's reflection in our eyes
Eager for the storm of swords!
Our voices take up the song
Of courage, fearless ar war
We're stronger that before
The berserkers are marching on!
For Odin and for Thor
For Balder and for Tyr
We're sailing the sea!
By conquest and steel
By the right of our might
We're the rulers of the sea
3. The Doomed Crusade
A long long tuime ago crusader warriors
Decided to declare war upon
The men of Vytautas the Great and Jogaila
Who took up the challenge of the foe
Laid out was the plan
And summoned were the warrior
Destined to go forth to enemy lands!
Hail! Hail! Vytautas the Great
March! March into fire and war
Hail! Hail! Vytautas the Great
Crusader warriors started to attack
And fell upon the swarms
Of Vytautas the Great
Kindled was a fight, a fight to the death
Not one brave soul was lost that day!
Hail! Hail! Vytautas the Great
March! March into fire and war
Hail! Hail! Vytautas the Great
The legions of Vytautas the Great
Fought bravely and proud
After a long-tasting battle
Crusader warriors finally surrender
Hail! Hail! Vytautas the Great
March! March into fire and war
Hail! Hail! Vytautas the Great
4. Lord Of The Spear
By the rune stone he stands
A lone wanderer from afar
Wolves gathered round in packs
Poetry he chants
Weaving magick strands
Lord of the spear
Welcome to our land
Our hospitality for a god
Pray tell us where you've been
Storyteller wise one
(And the Raven god recounts many a saga)
Under a roof of gold
With the rainbow forever in sight
Dwell warriors bold
They taste the mead of the wind
Always loud they sing
When in the sky
Wild thunder strikes
Thy ravens come again!
One eyed god, father mighty of all
With swords upraised to the crystal dome
Of a sky wherein thy ravens fly
We're so proud so strong, forever free!
God of poets, god of magic
From your breath the four winds blow
From your eyes the eternal flame flows
From your lips the oath of fire is sealed
Wodem, I am your true son and heed honor's call!
I fight for thee and in thy name shed blood and bane!
Vidurr the destroyer – master of havoc, unrivaled warrior!
Hnikarr the inflamer – rde above the sea dragon slayer
Sigford, father of victory – thine gifts I seek on the battlefield tonight
Yggr – terror of Frankia and eastern men
Conquer all the world
In this star enarmored night
We raise our horns – salute the sky!
When in the sky
Wild thunder strikes
Thy ravens come again!
5. The Prince Of Epirus
Long years have gone by
Years of slavery and shame
Until the time torise up and fight
To claim freedom for my land, came!
Epirus shall be no more under the yoke
Of the Ottoman invaders and their foul hordes!
I am s son of a Byzantine empire
Hellenic is the blood that pumps in my heart!
Black is the eagle that flies on my flag
Porphyry skies surrounding ebon wings
Men hoist high the battle standart of the Empire
Freedom is word we sing across the land!
Mongrels of the Sultan
Goaded here for blood
You shall know me by name
And shiver when I come...
In Christendom the princes
Call me lord Kastriotis
And to the Muslims I am known
As Iskender Bey the fierce!
Black is the eagle that flies on my flag
Porphyry skies surrounding ebon wings
Men hoist high the battle standart of the Empire
Freedom is word we sing across the land!
Betrayed by the west
And left alone to fight
I held the line of defense
With but a handful of men!
Our swords shall mark
The dawn of victory
Or a hero's grave
Wherein we'll rest
For all eternity – just like our kin
Descended from Hercules
Returning with our shield
Or as corpses dorne upon it!
6. Cosmogenesis
Only ravening chaos was there at first
Wherein enthroned sat it's overlord
Kronos the terrible immortal god
Ruling with a malignant iron heart...
Then came the fire giving shape into Gaia
The immortals took their place on the peak
Of mighty Olympus and in Erebus deep
The sky unfolded wings and night came creeping in...
How wonderfully shines the living light
The first daybreak at the dawn of time
On anvils divine a mortal world is forged
Cosmogenesis, the mystic maelstorm
The valleys evergreen crossed by rivers crystalline
Became the palaces of Nymphs
The mystic wind that first blew through the woods
Taught the Satyrs to sing...
And in the depths of the sea, in chambers of ebony
Cyclopses and Titants dwell, held in thrall by Zeus
Hail the fathergod that would raise the progeny of Chaos
Into the light, away from tyranny and into the day!
How wonderfully shines the living light
The first daybreak at the dawn of time
On anvils divine a mortal world is forged
Cosmogenesis, the mystic maelstorm
7. Folkearth
In a land where no road leads
On shores where no wave breaks
There is an inn, thatched with autumn leaves
Wherein dwell all the minstrels of yore...
Wayfarer of life come take thy rest
There's a crackling fire and there is ale...
We will sing of elder days and better times
We will sing you what your heart desires!
From the four corners of the earth
We have come bearing many a tune
Stomp your feet – let the feast begin!
Drink up and sing along all night long!
We conjure on our magic strings
Tales of valor, love and bloody war
See the heroes ride, see the maidens yearn
Legends come to life when we play for you!
Everything is possible, all can be true
Just listen to the song that echoes within you
We strike up a melody of your wildest dreams
As history collides with mythic songs of Yore!
From the four corners of the earth
We have come bearing many a tune
Stomp your feet – let the feast begin!
Drink up and sing along all night long!
Recite a nordic poem with voice clear and keen
By the sword of my father, swear the sacred oath!
See the drakkars appear out of the silvering mist
Your every step is guided by the father of victory!
Return once again to the Fatherland that bore you
Know full well where you're coming from
And only then the compass of your soul
Will point to the path you are bound to follow!
From the four corners of the earth
We have come bearing many a tune
Stomp your feet – let the feast begin!
Drink up and sing along all night long!
8. I Am Fire
I was born on the drow of thunder
And an icy takes I slaked my thirst
For blood from corpses torn asunder
Odin has placed a sword in my fist
I am fire!
And in battle I burn higher!
I am fire!
To kill is my desire!
My soul is aflame with Odin's fire!
Know my name, Berserker!
As I sate the sword
Scream my name berserker!
Cry havoc, the wolf is in the fold!
See them run like fucking sheep
From jaws of steel that seek to rend
My delight is in this bloody deed
I am fire!
And in battle I burn higher!
I am fire!
To kill is my desire!
My soul is aflame with Odin's fire!
9. Apollonian Light
Blessed Paean – alas! You find these days
Shadowed by greed and loathsome treachery
Yet hark! There is music still in our hearts
For the lyre of Apollo now lights our path
Leader of Muses, weave thy tunes
Now sweet the Doris melodies
Enrapture our souls and minds
Dragon slayer, delphic archer
The eyes that sees all from above
O living light, music personified
Olympian God wielding cosmic force
Day-bringer, golden-haired
Thy grace divine knows no end
Pluck a string – unleash the spring
Sing thy songs and revive our world
From winter's fire a spark doth bring
The quickening of ancient pride within
In the fell clutch of materialistic creeds
Mortal thoughts beguiled and ecstasies false
Have come to pass and take control
But light still dwells behind mountains cold
Apollo, thy glory is yet remembered
When thy lyre shall be restrung
And thy songs of life resung
Then Elysian Fields shall be our home again
O living light, music personified
Olympian God wielding cosmic force
Day-bringer, golden-haired
Thy grace divine knows no end
Day-bringer, golden-haired
Thy grace divine knows no end
Pluck a string – unleash the spring
Sing thy songs and revive our world
From winter's fire a spark doth bring
The quickening of ancient pride within
10. When The Gods Doth Return
Look up to the stars
The deep velvet black
Of a primordial night
Etched with dying lights...
If your eyes be keen
And they can perceive
Ну shall see them coming
The lords of celestial empires
When the gods doth return
The dragon will be put to death
When the gods doth return
The land of light shall welcome them
When the gods doth return
Songs forgotten and arcane will be heard
See the comet's trail
That bizarre cyan blaze
A fleet is on the way
To save us from the apostates
Take up your sword
And none it the moonlight
Brother chose your side
In the fight of all time
When the gods doth return
The dragon will be put to death
When the gods doth return
The land of light shall welcome them
When the gods doth return
Songs forgotten and arcane will be heard
When the gods doth return
The sound of joy will fill the air
The rightful rulers of this earth
Shall be enthroned once again
When the gods doth return
Fear of the dark will be no more
When the gods doth return
Thy shadows shall vanish forevermore
11. Byzantine Princess
Cold black curls frame her ivory face
The chiseled features of an Aphrodite in tears
Her body trembles, as she takes one last walk
Magnificent and beautiful in it's fragile elegance...
One last walk through the cloisters of home
To see her little white doves flying around
To see the sun shimmering cross the Aegean sea
To smell the fragrant thyme of the hills in spring
O byzantine princess wither will you go?
Thou art too young too radiant to be a wife
How does your heart bear to leave this land
And marry a barbarian as your father did command?
Her eyes are the color of cinnamon and honey
Her garments glimmer gold in the summer time
What sad fate awaits thee fair maid? Why do you cry?
Fair and desperate thou art – like Helen of Troy...
Highborn she may be but nothing but a pawn
In the grander scheme of imperial politics
And so she has to go, as will so many more
To seal a pact with europe's barbarian lords
She took with her the arts, the light of her fatherland
A dowry far more great than gold and jewels combined
And she brought to distant lands the grace that delivered
Europe from the night and raised her to the sunlit sky...
