1. Exordium: Fragmenta
(инструментал)
2. In Hoc Signo Vinces
The Emperor's soul was unquiet that night
The battle was close, the outcome uncertain
The empire's future laid grave on his trembling heart
Ghosts, monsters, fears – they all disappeared
When in dream through a cross
God's word was revelaed
Woundrous tree
With pure gold adorned, diamonds and gems
Tree of light
Holy rood
In hoc signo vinces, in this sign you'll conquer
Our banners shall carry the mark
Never defeated
Trust the Saviour's blood
The king of the kings sign our standards display
The way, the truth, our life
Never defeated
Trust the Saviour's blood
Just before the morning lights,
The army filled the plain
Gathered to heed the call and face their fate!
United they marched under the sign
Constantine in front of them
Sword in hand and loyal to the cross
Strong in heart
The roman empire was victorious in christ
Resolute
In hoc signo vinces, in this sign you'll conquer
Our banners shall carry the mark
Never defeated
Trust the Saviour's blood
The king of the kings sign our standards display
The way, the truth, our life
Never defeated
Trust the Saviour's blood
3. Ex Visionibus... Fatus
Sailing through a sea of newborn flowers
As daylight fades I breathe
The evening breeze
Shades of a promise lying unfulfilled
Are buried within the ruins of my heart
The sweetness of last spring, is the taste of my decay
Grotesque nightmares, so far in time and yet
So clear the visions dance
Embrace the memories
Relive what once was
Mysteries of former shapes unfold
Cum mihi solo sedeo
Et hec revolvens palleo
Si forte capud sublevo
Nec audio nec video
Tu saltim veris gratia
Exaud et considera
Frondes flores et gramina
Nam mea languet anima
(I sit alone with myself
And, thinking over these things, I grow pale
If perhaps I raise my head
I do not hear, I do not see
You, at least, for the sake of spring
Listen to this and look closely at
The leaves, the flowers and grass
For my soul languish)
Sad overlord of a wasteland
By greaving rhymes I curse the jade
Trees that saw the offspring of our love
Now they crown my head with thorns
Among the spirals of myth and illusion
Ionic colonnades rise on the hills
Where fauns and driads sing
My soul spins charmed in a wild dream
Strange apparitions in black darken the fading sun
Oracles dwell in the temples majestic
Elysian fields and the Underworld call
A Ferryman awaits
Caught in a daydream, a slave to your spell
On through the mist I am breaking the veil
Phantoms of ages and places unknown
Lead me astray from my queen and my throne
Feel the emptiness, devouring worm that's feeding
On my soul,
A cry that no one hears the roaring scream of stillness
Fills the air
Crystal lakes whose whisper brings joy
Tender leaves that rustle oh so gently
Fragrance of incense ravish the mind
Virgin maidens, robes of white, they are chanting
Soft and sweet their chant is
Caught in a daydream, a slave to your spell
On through the mist I am tearing the veil
Shadows of faces and landscapes unknown
Lead me astray from my queen and my throne
(Lost in a reverie)
Now I'm drifting
Gliding to a secret night-time bay
Caressed by the moon
And I feel that
The sorrows and the pain will never find me
Upon this hallowed shore
This peaceful reverie will never end
Eternity reveals its hidden treasures to my soul
How could I know, how could I see
The truth that lies beyond the dreams
Cycles harmonized and meaningful
The wisdom of the elders
The music of the stars
4. Orfeo's Lament
Speak to me
The Vows of Love that we once shared
I believe
Behind the clouds a rainbow now shines
And when my fingers touch a string
Or play a chord,
The bitterness retreats, the sadness is long gone
Underneath the veils of darkness
I will find
The way to take you back to me
Since you went away
From the light of day
I've been trying to hide
Life without your love
Has lost its meaning
Symphonies of sorrow
Are all that I can sing
Until the day I'll walk with you
In radiant rebirth
Hidden far from all the answers
The flame I keep will burn forever
Reaching the fire
Of knowledge my wings turn aflame
Scared and defenseless I fall
In the vortex of souls
Here I stand
Lost in a reverie
Actor in a play I don't know
Close my eyes
A dream within another
Neverending spirals of mist
Leave me alone
Get out of my brain
Carousel of visions that haunt my mind
Victim of a season
That wounds me with no reason
Surrounded by this treason I cry
I fall from the edge of the world
Alone in my struggle for hope
In search of my long lost way home to you
Through the times of joy
And the darkest hours
Stronger than the bonds
Of life and death
There I will stand
Down the marble halls
Where mourning voice cry
From the land of no return
I will take you home
5. Exile (We Mot Delen Ato)
Heurodis:
Oh Lord hold me in your arms
The sunlight dies
And my torn skin's bleeding
Gather your knights
For the cold hand of destiny brought
Black omens of (impending) doom
Narrating Voice:
"Admiring enchanted the beauties of May
The Queen and her Maidens,
They went out to play
And sat by the orchard,
Surrounded by flowers of gold and birdsong"
Heurodis:
I fell asleep by a fair grafted tree
And the weaver of dreams kissed my brow
Narrating Voice:
"Gentle damsels, dared not to set free
Sweet Heurodis from that strange reverie
So there she laid covered by the shade
Of the tree – as the light slowly dimmed"
The Maidens:
Then she woke up and cried
Her pain, oh, so great!
Pale cheeks were furrowed
By streamlets of blood
Orfeo:
My life, my love, what have they done to you?
Narrating Voice:
Valiant King, ruler over this land
Fate's dice was cast, and the time's close at hand
A moment in time when your crown shines no more
Hush now and listen!
Heurodis:
I had been not long asleep under the grafted tree
When two fair knights appeared and said to me
"We will take you to the place where the Fairy King dwells!"
Oh I dared not, nor I did want to go
So they spurred back and I was left alone
But in the blink of an eye they anew came to me
One hundred came forth
Their steeds white as snow
And damsels, and Lords
The Faery King's court
Oh love, my love!
In trance I gazed at them!
And at the King's command
Upon a palfrey by his side
They carried me on a magical ride
He showed me the treasures he owned
A crown of mysterious stone
His palace, and towers that rose
Like jeweled fingers of gold
Than rivers, and forests we crossed
And woods, and walls covered with moss
And then at the end of the day
He brought back me here, dazed but safe
"Beware of my message" he warned me
"Tomorrow when noon strikes, here I'll come for thee
Do not care to challenge my powers so strong
Or else I shall crush you, apart your limbs shall be torn!"
6. Shades Of My Untimely Autumn
Orfeo:
I should have know
I should have listened
The faint voice of branches
and leaves warned me once
Forest:
"Frightened child seeking for sanctuary high above
Swiftly purged from the stains of imaginary sins
I'm your shelter
Come into my arms"
Orfeo:
Heurodis I long for thee
Only for you my heart weeps
I recall in deep despair
Oh, how happy we once were!
I won't stand by your side
When the shadows grow longer
Chorus:
Crows flying o'er fields of grain
Take away this pain
Shades of my untimely autumn
Veil these eyes again
Forest:
"Now my King shalt not cry
For your future shines so bright
Peace and summers crowned with bliss
Years of endless love and mirth
They await thee
Rise and find your way"
Orfeo:
Elder forest and wise trees
All the sadness that I feel
Shall be banished from my soul
For the hope I now withhold
This harp now sings
Songs of faith regained.
Crows flying o'er fields of grain
Take away this pain
Shades of my untimely autumn
Won't veil these, eyes again
7. Zep Tepi
At dawn in the First Time
When myth was history,
In the time of Arcadia
Where the Gods ruled in peace,
The chaotic darkness faded
Into a white disclosing rose,
And gentle lights caressed the lands
In a burst of hues and perfumes.
When the gentle hand
Of the provident Giver of Life
Dealt his precious gifts out
To the awakening world,
His vital breath renewed
The everlasting spring
Woods and plans rejoiced
On the fowls' melody,
Joyful streams and sweet green hills
Glittered happy at the warm embrace
Of the rising sun
Of the rising sun.
Zep Tepi, the first Time
No wars ever blood-stained those beautiful lands
No hate, no divisions upset that harmony
There used to be no evil in the Golden Age
At dawn of the First Day
The Gods came down to Earth
And gave mankind all their Sacred learning
Built great temples, huge cities
Never seen by man
In the time when nymphs and satyrs
Enjoyed the Innocence
In woods and moors,
A trifling playing
Of jets and witty words
"Auera prima sata est aetas"
Zep Tepi the first Time
No wars ever blood-stained those beautiful lands
No hate, no divisions upset that harmony
There used to be no evil in the Golden Age
They believed in a Sacred Science,
They believed in Eternal Life,
They believed in a peaceful living,
They believed in they'd reach the Sky
Zep Tepi, age of harmony and joy
Zep Tepi, age of justice and peace
Zep Tepi age of harmony and joy
Zep Tepi, Gods created the world.
Welcome to where all began!
8. Congedum: Whispers From Outer Space
(инструментал)
