1. Foul Taste Of Freedom

young, dumb and helpless – in the states
you say you ain't got no money – i can relate
i lost my job and my house and my – piece of mind
we're in the deepest depression of – modern time

a thousand points of light shinin' – in my face
eyes are blinded by a can of replublican mace
shinin' seas of starving people are the – unemployed
stars and stripes are rubber checks – null and void

we are the red, white and blue that you bleed
we have the right to survive and succeed
worthless and weak is "be all you can be"
democracy leaves a foul taste of freedom in me

budget cuts and tax hikes – crush the land
of plenty, see the weak die by gods hand
if you're proud of your country then you're probably rich
buf if you're fed up you better piss, moan and bitch
yankee doodle dickweed went to town
apple pie and chevrolet shot him down
a patriotic, fatheaded, sucker, freak
is proud to serve the country that had served him weak...

2. Death On The Dance Floor

listen to the sound of the underground
your ears start to deafen your head begins to pound
the crowd starts to move as the earth begins to quake
your spine starts to give as your back begins to break
death on the dance floor – they deaded for the side
the doors in the place – wouldn't open wide
500 black boots steppin' on your face
and blood everwhere from the panic in the place

there was death on the dance floor
when we came to town
there was death on the dance floor
from the heavy connection of the pro-pain sound

a crazy motherfucker went and pulled a knife
you know he's gonna cut ya till you're scarred for life
bangin' and screamin' you were kickin' the door
but nobody listened till you screamed for more
throbbin' like a heartbeat beats like a drum
the band kept playin' till their limbs went numb
the fists in the air – they were thrashin' about
till someone pulled the plug and the lights went out

3. Murder 101

to keep the fire burnin' you must feed the flame
and this flame is burnin' fast
the drug lords are yearnin' for you give them your name
first, middle initial, last
"my job sucks" you say it's like doin' time
"i feel like such a jerk"
but 500 bucks a day are better than nine
dollars for two hours work

so get out your pen and paper, better start taking notes
get a lecture from the devil, he's about to take your coat
and when the class is over, if you pass you get your gun
nothing's ever sacred here in murder 101

a cold blooded kill is my final exam
if he's dead i pass
my bones start to chill and my nerves start to jam
i pump three more slugs in his chest
wake me up tomorrow and i'll show you no remorse
to prove that i'm a man
the absentee was sorrow who is sure to flunk the course
who witnessed the violence and ran

4. Pound For Pound

o.k. – lets get it out – enough with the small talk
i can count your lies like cracks on the sidewalk
same old stories of when we used to hang out
down with the crowd we had the whole gain out
nothin' to do with the boys in the crew
we knew we had to start something with you
so we took you down to the ground with a round
pound for pound another win for the hometown
like this:mind over fist and fist over your face
i'll chase you down like the cheese in a rat race
soon you'll regret you ever deceived me –
crush your body like bugs on a t.v.
rhythm of the streets stained with your bloodshed
the hammer of the gods hangs over my head
shoot you down to the ground with a round
pound for pound – let's hear it for the hometown
my god:pray for the city, a moment of silence
let's overcome the guns and the violence
if we give the youth the keys to the mainstream
they won't have to waste their life in a daydream
why? is the question – drugs are the answer
kills in a serial – spreads like a cancer
shoot you down to the ground with a round
pound for pound, yes, grim is the hometown

5. Every Good Boy Does Fun

he sits around and watches while you work
and laughs at your business and gives you a smirk
he thinks he's got it all figured out
he'll even give you pointers on what lifes about
round and round he goes he'll be back
and nobody knows just who he'll attack
his evil intentions will prevail
he'll call you up at 6 a.m. – it's time to post his bail

he's last on the production line
getting' high – feelin' fine
outta sight – outta mind
runnin' for the border line
can't get to work on time
loved ones are left behind
show me some assuring signs
every good boy does fine

he'll take you for everything you're worth
and send it to his family of nerverending birth
you took him in just to save a buck
he'll screw your wife and kill your kids
then what – you're fucked
america's a slammer – slam it shut
safe haven for your convicts – psychos and sluts
as leniency starts to take its toll
10,000 more pass the border patrol

6. Death Goes On

I hated while i waited for the cold, hard and bitter facts cut
down in the midst of the prime of his life
with the swing of a mobile axe – and no one
believes it till the crowds all gone
and it all hits home
that everything frozen in time seems to melt
when you're all alone

way back in the daze – we were young and crazy
and we passed the time with the crime of being lost and lazy
tell me who's to blame for the same old sad, sad song
as society's singing – death goes on

two years go by with the blink of an eye and another
one gone
and as the crowd grew slimmer, then the crowd got stronger,
then the crowd moved on
i remember the times we would all be together
just singin' out loud
in the back of my mind the voices still echo
we sounded so proud

to be part of the family – whose roots run so deep
and we'd all be together raising hell till we were sound asleep
in the midst of a nightmare that lasts all night long
as society's singin' – death goes on

7. Rawhead

Beyond the realms of death
lies beneth the earth a beast
and all is well
as he rots in hell
but he's soon to be released
in myth made by man
he's dismissed but not deceased
and to the church he came
he saw, he maimed
and pissed upon the priest

rawhead, you screamed as you bled
now your loss is his gain
as he inhales your final breath
you're dead, and with no regrets
he'll gather up your remains
and drag you down the trail of death

he thrives upon demise
with hatred in his eyes
he came to kill
and kill he will
he'll cut you down to size
there's nowhere left to run
the game is lost, he's won
he rips your eyes
and drinks your cries
surprise, your dead, your done

8. The Stench Of Piss

Look, there's hard luck willie
he begs for bucks sometimes
he ain't never bothered nobody
and nobody bothered to hand him a dime
he don't wanna work
cause he looks like a bum and he stinks like a turk
but he'll survive, they say, to urinate where you eat someday

leave this life behind you honey and don't you ever come back
these streets are paved with violence,
broken dreams, and vials of crack
so sick of living in a city where ignorance is truly bliss
mass transit, penn station, ass rancid
with the sentch of piss

why do they call him willie?
and what will he do for money?
will he sell his ass and get cash for sex?
what will he think of next?
got a couple of johns on file
he was willing to serve with a smile
so he sold himself for the price of a fix
and the next day willie called in sick

leave this life behind you honey and don't you ever come back
these streets are paved with violence,
broken dreams, and vials of crack
so sick of living in a city where ignorance is truly bliss
bus terminal, port authority, portapotty
with the stench of piss

they cry as they lie in their filth, i call it a crime
so drunk they can drown in their puke, of bile and wine
defecation in general can heat seal your nose with a kiss
so don't bother holding your breath – inhale some of this

9. Picture This

He wakes up early to watch regis at nine
his summer clothes are of the finest design
his ethnic maid will serve him breakfast in bed
he likes to travel but lives at club med

i've got:
pain and problems on my mind
you see i'm wasting time
i've past my prime
take these eyes and leave me blind
see the world unwind
life isn't kind – can you picture this?

he's got six cars and had seven wives
who shared the greed with him all of their lives
life is a peach but sometimes it's the pits
while on top of cash mountain he sits

10. Iraqnophobia

Miles and miles of soldiers deployed on foreign sand
fighting for your freedom your oil and your land
technology is efficient when bark turns to bite
so wake up america, stand up for your rights

oh say can't you see that the conscience in me said go back
when the clouds in the skies and the tears in my eyes turned to black
there's a fear i may die in a chemical weapons attack iraq – nophobia

massife destruction from coalition planes
pulverize the enemy, bashing in their brains
and agony is unparalleled yet they beg for more
we've only just begun so sit back, enjoy the war

oh say can't you see that the conscience in me said go back
when the clouds in the skies and the tears in my eyes turned to black
there's a fear i may die in a chemical weapons attack iraq – nophobia

torturing prisoners, flashbacks of nam
brainwashing moslems from central command
you can't stop the punishment, signals are jammed
mohammed's no match for the great uncle sam

11. Johnny Black

H ere's a story 'bout an american man
who's always used to doin' things the best that he can
he's got his wife, he's got his kids by his side
you know he'd rather fuck you up then swallow his pride
he's got his favorite band tattooed on his back
we'll call him johnny, and johnny wore black
dropped out of school because he loved the guitar
we used to check him out at all the clubs and the bars

he'd rather die on the outside, fight from within
when everything was said and done he knew he would win
he called the shots – and straddled the line
we knew he was lost all the time
(johnny black)

the years had passed us and the crowd moved on
we hadn't seen or heard from him in oh so long
we never even thought to pick up the phone
or to take the time to see if johnny was home
he had a motorcycle parked in the yard
which was always there for cruisin' when the times were hard
he never had a need to follow the mass
and he was all by himself as he stepped on the gas:

12. Lesson Learned

T ell me can you feel the heat, from the man on the beat while you're pushing on the street,
feeling like you're ten feet tall well you're looking kinda small with your back to the wall
is it that you just don't care, that the burden that you bear don't compare to the share of the
money that you make in a day there's a will, there's a way,
there's a price that you pay for a lessong learned,
lesson earned, the streets were stolen the tables were turned,
lesson learned, lesson earned,
the streets were stollen, the tables were turned.

workin' two jobs cause money's tight.
i get up at six o'clock and take it straight through the night.
when i walk to work it's great cause it's so close to home.
but the nights are kinda scary and i travel alone.

no one is around but whores and junkies tryin to sell you anything they can.
people on the block are scared to come out,
they'd rather leave the fighting to the man.
if the pusher claimed to be king of the mountain,
he'd steal your kids and use them for the night.
it looks like you're in for one hell of a fight.

tell me can you feel the heat, from the man on the beat while
your're pushing on the street. feelin' like youre ten feet tall,
well you're looking kinda small with your back to the wall. is
is that you just don't care, that the burden that you bear
don't compare to the share of the money that you make in a
day there's a will, there's a way, there's a price that you pay
for a lessong learned, lesson earned, the streets were stolen the tables were turned.
lesson learned, lesson earned, the streets were stolen, the
tables were turned. used to love the city, now the city is shit,
and it's hard to keep it clean when we're shittin' on it. the
corruption is disruption and disruptions unjust, and injustice
calls for action, any actions a plus, sacrifice a couple of
minutes a day and try to solve the problem with a plan. it's
gonna take more than a couple of fists, better ask you
neighbor for a hand. first bell rings, keep on punchin', drive
em' outta town with all your might. looks like he's in for one hell of a fight.

lesson learned, lesson earned, the streets were stolen, the
tables were turned. lesson learned, lesson earned, the streets
were stolen, the tables were turned.

13. God Only Knows

Hate is like a fire
burning in my head
you are my desire
as i desire you dead
please don't ask me questions
because i can only lie
and the hunt will never end
as long, as long as my love
my love, you deny

gather round kids, gather all round the campfire
as i hunt you down in the night like a vampire
so the story goes – the fire burns to the black
and god only knows if you're ever coming back

oh, i can feel your presence
breathing in my air
in the midst of nervous laughter
i can sense that you're aware
somewhere in these clouded thoughts
there lies a peaceful man
and you are all i seek
until i find you
i will swear to walk the land
